Machine mixes "Redneck" by Lamb Of God

Get inside the raw multitracks of “Redneck,” presented as mixed by legendary producer Machine (Lamb of God, Clutch, Every Time I Die). Known for his aggressive, full-frequency mixes and unorthodox workflow, Machine brought a unique balance of chaos and control to this track. His approach captures the band’s massive live energy while showcasing surgical attention to frequency carving, multiband dynamics, and saturation-driven harmonic density across the mix.

The “Redneck” session is dense. You’ll wrestle with detailed overhead phase correlations, parallel chain routing, deep automation, nuanced blend of DI and reamped guitars, and a powerhouse vocal that cuts through without ever masking the guitars. There’s precision editing on the drums, but with a deliberate looseness that retains feel. Machine stacked rhythms on top of rhythms, and it’s your job to bring clarity without killing power.

This is not a quick win. It’s technical, aggressive, and requires a producer’s ear to do justice to it. Download the multitracks to see why “Redneck” remains a reference point in modern metal mixing—and test your skills under machine-level pressure.
