George Lever mixes "Born From Pain" by Jesse Zuretti

Engineered and mixed by George Lever (Loathe, Sleep Token, Monuments), this Nail The Mix session pulls back the curtain on one of heavy music’s most creative voices and introduces the extreme precision Lever brings to his work. This track presented George with a massive network of problems to solve: midrange-heavy orchestral textures that needed harmonic balance against quad-tracked guitars and intricate drum programming with multiple reverb layers per hit. Vocals were heavily effect-laden and nested within multi-bus chains. There’s serious automation across the entire spectrum, an imposing low end that somehow never gets smeary, and meticulously carved saturation that enhances tone without congesting the mix.
