Jonathan Roach
Jonathan Roach has been producing and mixing since 2012. A Georgia native, he spent his early 20s producing and touring with bands in the rock and alternative scene. In 2017, he began working with several country artists (Brian Fuller, Dylan Marlowe, and Noah Hicks) at his studio in North Georgia, which served as his introduction to country music production. As Jonathan continued to work on more country projects, he began outsourcing overdubs to several players in Nashville – one of them being Grady Saxman. After working alongside Grady on several songs for Lakeview in 2018, Grady brought Jonathan on board to mix for Saxman Studios.
After several years of mixing remotely for Grady and a number of other producer and artists, Jonathan moved to Nashville full-time in 2021. In 2023, Jonathan launched Anvil Mixing Co. to showcase his work outside of Saxman Studios. While Jonathan has definitely found his place in country music as a mixing engineer, his roots are still heavily in the rock/alternative scene. However, after years of mixing a wide variety of music, Jonathan has found he gravitates less toward projects of any specific genre and more towards those that are pushing the boundaries that genres create.
