Austin Coupe mixes "Make Your Exit" by Suicide Silence

Mixing music this heavy means making careful decisions about where that weight comes from. Guitars need body and aggression without swallowing the bass, while the kick needs to stay audible without becoming detached from the rest of the drums. Working with the multitracks for “Make Your Exit” gives you the chance to tackle those relationships yourself, finding the balance between low-end power, rhythmic precision, and midrange clarity.

The vocals present another essential challenge: keeping an aggressive performance up front without making the entire mix harsh or exhausting. The rhythm section needs similar attention, with enough control to keep the performance focused and enough impact to give the heavy moments their force. For anyone mixing deathcore or extreme metal, this session offers a chance to practice making dense, aggressive music feel powerful while preserving separation between the instruments.
